This 24-hour course is POST certified under Plan III. Payment is required in full 15 days prior to the class in order to guarantee your seat. Register early, these classes will fill quickly. Maximum number of participants is 35. This course is excellent for department who currently do not have a canine program and are considering developing one.
Learn the latest information in managing a canine program. This class is designed for program managers and is not geared toward handlers. Each participant is encouraged to email at least one question you would like answered on how to better manage your program to svinci@cpoa.org prior to the class so the instructors can answer your most pressing questions.

CPOA will not register anyone for a class unless payment has been received in full. If you are not able to provide payment upfront you may provide a credit card to hold the seat. However, all students must be paid in full by 10 days prior to the class, if payment is not received at that point and a card has been given to hold the seat, it will be charged.
You will receive a confirmation lvia email after we receive your course registration and your payment is processed. Please review the confirmation carefully and check for any changes in course date or location. Tuition payment will also be reflected.
The California Peace Officers' Association (CPOA) seminars are not public seminars and are not open to the general public for enrollment. CPOA seminars are for training law enforcement personnel or those individuals who in some capacity represent law enforcement or public entities. CPOA reserves the right to restrict or deny enrollment or access to any CPOA seminar to any individual.
Payment MUST BE received at least 10 days prior to each class. No payments will be accepted onsite. We accept check or credit cards.
All cancellations are subject to a $15 administrative fee. There will be no refund for cancellations made 15 days or less prior to the start date of a course. To cancel or request a refund, you may fax the CPOA office at 916-263-6090 or email cpoa@cpoa.org detailing your request. Your agency will be billed in full for "no shows." Substitutions are encouraged.
