Host a CPOA Class
If you would like to host a presentation of any of the CPOA courses, please fill out the Class Hosting Request Form and send it to Amy Fochs at afochs@cpoa.org or fax to (916) 520-2277. Request will be filled on a first come first serve basis but will be accepted throughout the year.

Below is the guidlines for hosting a course.

Requirements for Host Agency:

CPOA is committed to providing successful training, the host agency will need to share that commitment for the class they host and be willing to market the class to the surrounding area. The host agency will need to guarantee a minimum of 25 students in order to be able to host the class. The 25 students do not have to be from the host agency. The host agency will also need to provide a registrar.  (See registrar responsibilities below)

Requirements for Host Site:

The host site must be able to provide a classroom or training space that can accommodate a minimum of 25 students comfortably in a classroom format. Additionally, the site must be able to provide all audio visual equipment needed for the course being hosted.

What’s in it for the Host Agency?:

In hosting the course, CPOA will give complimentary seats for individuals from your agency to attend. For every 25 students registered for the class, your agency will receive 1 complimentary seat.

Registrar Responsibilities:

The registrar is required to sit at the registration table and check in all registrants. If anyone shows up onsite that is not on the roster, the registrar is required to have the individual fill out an onsite registration form and collect payment for the class. In addition to registration responsibilities, the registrar will need to collect all extra materials and all registration paperwork at the end of the class and ship it back to the CPOA office.
