This presentation will aim to educate law enforcement on the implementation of Public Safety Realignment. The instructor will provide an overview on the development/implementation of AB 109 and the subsequent statutory changes. Specific topics covered will include basics on PRCS, mandatory supervision and 1170(h) sentences. Time will be dedicated to understand California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) process and forms to facilitate interaction between agencies as a result of Public Safety Realignment.
